Winter Season Underway At Chester Bowl
DULUTH, Minn. — People were hitting the slopes at Chester Bowl this weekend, after mother nature brought a fresh snowfall.
After a fairly dry start to last year’s ski and snowboard season. Those at Chester Bowl are excited about tearing down the hill.
Snowmaking has wrapped up at the Chester, after cold temps have brought ideal conditions.
During the second weekend of the season, ski instructors were going through orientation, so they can teach newcomers how to go down the slopes.
“Very nice to have a normal winter. Cold temps are what we need and what we all look for, it seems like we’re getting close to having all our resorts open in the are as well as cross country skiing trails,” said Sam Luoma, Chester Bowl Programs & Operations Director. “So I know a lot of people were missing that and we’re certainly seeing that here at Chester.”
Chester Bowl is typically open Thursday through Monday. You can get a day or season pass and even take part in programs at the ski hill.
