Federal Indictment for Two Men Accused of Fentanyl/Meth Distribution to Red Lake
A September traffic stop turned up a pound of meth and 100 grams of fentanyl
DULUTH, Minn. – A traffic stop by a Minnesota State Trooper in September uncovered 454 grams of meth and 100 grams of fentanyl, according to court documents; now the two occupants have been indicted.
Federal authorities accuse 46-year-old Bobby Donnell, and 29-year-old Jordan Lussier, of conspiring to traffic drugs on the Red Lake Reservation.
According to court documents, both men were traveling together near Royalton on September 3, 2024, when a Minnesota State Trooper pulled them over. The trooper found that Donnell, the driver, had an active warrant, and both men’s licenses were suspended. A K-9 officer was called, resulting in ‘positive’ alerts on the vehicle. Authorities conducted a search of the vehicle and reported finding 454 grams of meth, and around 100 grams of fentanyl.
Both men face charges of Conspiracy to Possess Methamphetamine and Fentanyl with the Intent to Distribute and Aiding and Abetting with the Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine and Fentanyl, which according to federal guidelines, could result in a prison sentence of more than 20 years.
