Prep Basketball: Esko Boys Win Coaches Classic Title, Cherry Remains Perfect, Duluth East Girls Fall
Esko defeated the Hilltoppers 74-53 to claim the Coachers Classic championship.
ESKO, Minn.- Esko and Duluth Marshall faced-off in the 44th annual Coaches Classic championship game on Friday.
The host team ended up taking home the top prize as Esko defeated the Hilltoppers 74-53.
Esko’s next game is on Friday, January 3rd against Blake.
Tip-off is at 7:15 p.m.
For the Hilltoppers, their next game is on Saturday, January 4th against Proctor.
Tip-off is at 9 a.m.
Over in Wisconsin, the Superior Candy Cane Crossover tipped off Friday.
Cherry faced Duluth Denfeld in their first game of the tournament.
The Tigers defeated the Hunters 89-77 to remain unbeaten on the season.
Cherry (10-0) will face Superior on Saturday for their second game of the tournament.
Tip-off is at 4 p.m.
For the Hunters, their next game is on Saturday against Cambridge-Isanti.
Tip-off is at 2 p.m.
Over to girls prep basketball, Duluth East hosted Mounds View on Friday.
Unfortunately, the Greyhounds fell to the Mustangs 54-44.
Duluth East is back in action on Saturday, December 28th against Andover.
