Bentleyville Ends 2024 Season on Warm & Wet Note, Tear Down Underway
DULUTH, Minn. – This weekend’s warm weather has really put a damper on some winter plans, but not all of them.
People came out Friday, in spite of the rain, to enjoy one of the last Bentleyville nights of the year. The walk-through light show has had its fair share of snowy nights so far, but with the forecast expected to stay above freezing over the next couple days, closing night won’t be so white.
Bentleyville worker Nora Tyler tells FOX 21 that by the mood and energy of Friday’s crowds, no one seemed to mind. “We’ve had lots and lots of people coming in, floods of people coming when they’re hockey games and different events going on. And different plans a lot of things for the beginning and the end of the season.”
Bentleyville’s last night of the year was Saturday, December 28. A fireworks display provided the perfect end to yet another successful year.
Of course, that meant the volunteers began working on putting away all the luminescence into their boxes Sunday. The tear down is an annual tradition, and one that the public is welcome to join in on from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm every day for the next week.
