Esko Man Dead After Vehicle Accident on I-35

ESKO, Minn. – An Esko man is dead after the vehicle he was driving crashed on I-35 early Sunday morning.
The Minnesota State Patrol says it took place just after 2:30 a.m. on I-35 southbound near Thomson Road.
An investigation determined the 2006 Cadillac STS spun out and entered the right ditch of the interstate. It struck a guardrail, overturned several times, and eventually came to rest after it struck an overpass bridge pier.
The driver, 43-year old Nathan Ray Oleary, died from his injuries. He was the only person in the vehicle.
The State Patrol adds road conditions were considered icy at the time of the accident.
Assisting the Minnesota State Patrol at the scene included the Carlton County Sheriff’s Office, Cloquet Ambulance, Cloquet Fire, Cloquet Police, and Esko Fire
