UMD Men’s Hockey Falls in Overtime Against Alaska Fairbanks

The Nanooks scored the game-winning goal in overtime to defeat the Bulldogs 2-1.

DULUTH, Minn.- On Saturday, the UMD men’s hockey team hosted Alaska Fairbanks for game two of their series.

At the end of regulation, it was tied 1-1 after the Bulldogs sent the contest to overtime with a late goal scored by Blake Bechen in the third period.

Unfortunately, the Nanooks scored the game-winning goal in overtime to defeat the Bulldogs 2-1.

UMD is back in action on Friday, January 10th, when they host St. Cloud State.
