Ice Sculptures Showcases Duluth Around Pier B
DULUTH, Minn. – Folks at Pier B can enjoy ice sculptures of several of Duluth’s most recognizable icons.
From Champ the Bulldog to the lift bridge these sculptures can be found inside and outside of Pier B. The sculptures were made by a company called Crystal Clear out of Green Bay, Wis. For the last two years the sculptures have been made on-sight and even give off a glow at night.
“We hear a lot of oohs and ahs, especially at night. They’re illuminated in a bright blue LED lighting so they really pop. You can see them from everywhere inside the restaurant, looking out the restaurant and in this room, what we call our nook. This is kind of a guest recreational area. People love to come down here and sit at night and maybe have a pizza and look out the window at the sculptures.”
If the weather cooperates, these ice sculptures can be viewed through the end of January. You can also check out more works from the artists at the Superior Ice Festival coming up on January 24th.
