UMD Men’s Hockey Heads to Colorado College for First Road Series of 2025

UMD has won 22 of the 36 meetings they've faced the Tigers.

DULUTH, Minn.- The UMD men’s hockey team will hit the road for the first time in 2025 this weekend when they visit 18th ranked Colorado College.

The Bulldogs are coming off a successful series which resulted in a sweep of the then 10th ranked St. Cloud State Huskies.

They’ll look to continue that mojo against a Tigers squad that they’ve won 22 of the 36 meetings they’ve faced them.

Colorado College is also riding a five-game losing skid which Associate Head Coach Adam Krause says it’s important to ignore those results.

“I think the two scariest teams are confident teams and desperate teams. I think a team like that isn’t probably pleased with the results with that kind of personnel on the team, back at home, with guys that have had success in this league. With a goaltender like that lines up with my experience for an incredibly tough test for our team,” said Krause.

“Much like any team in our conference, they’re going to play really hard. We know they have a lot of skill. They’ve had some really good years the last couple. What we can do right now is just keep focusing on building our group,” added forward Joe Molenaar.

It’ll be a late start on Friday as puck drop is scheduled for 9 PM.
