UMD Softball Picked to Finish 4th in NSIC, Walsh & Schmitt Named Players to Watch
UMD returns four full-time starters and 13 letterwinners from a year ago.
DULUTH, Minn.- The NSIC coaches poll for softball was released on Thursday for the upcoming season.
Coming in at 4th was the UMD Bulldogs, who finished last year with a 41 and 15 record.
UMD returns four full-time starters and 13 letterwinners from a year ago, that includes pitcher Maddy Walsh and infielder Nicole Schmitt.
The duo were also named as players to watch by the conference.
UMD, led by new head coach Nat Wagner, begin their season on February 1st against Southwest Minnesota State.
