Northwoods School Bus Accident Sends Two Students To The Hospital
COOK, Minn. — A bus crash sent two students to the hospital this morning after the school bus landed in a ditch.
At around 8:12 a.m. on Jan. 29, emergency services responded to a report of a single school bus accident on Olsen Rd. E. near the Northwoods School.
The school bus slid off the road, struck two trees, and finally came to a stop against a light pole. On board were the bus driver and 31 students, two of which were taken by ambulance to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The Sheriff’s office and Minnesota State Patrol are investigating the accident, with the icy conditions believed to be a contributing factor in the crash.
Minnesota State Patrol, MN DNR, Cook Fire and EMS, Orr EMS, and Virginia Fire and EMS all assisted with the scene.
