UMD Goaltender Klayton Knapp Earns NCHC Rookie of the Month Honors

The goalie had four wins, one shutout, and a conference-high 196 saves.

DULUTH, Minn.- UMD goaltender Klayton Knapp had a month to remember in January and now the conference has recognized him for his efforts.

On Tuesday, Knapp was named the NCHC Rookie of the Month.

The goalie had four wins, one shutout, and a conference-high 196 saves. He also had a saves percentage of 93 percent and a goals against average of 2.15.

Knapp and the Bulldogs are next in action on Friday at the University of Nebraska-Omaha.
