College Basketball: UMD Men Take Down 17th Ranked SW MN State, UMD Women Fall to 7-15

DULUTH, Minn.- Both the UMD men’s and women’s basketball hosted ranked Southwest Minnesota State squads on Wednesday night.
The Bulldog men started the night with the upset victory, defeating the 17th ranked Mustangs, 63 to 44.
Charlie Katona had a team-leading 19 points.
Following that contest, the UMD women were unable to complete the sweep as they fell to 19th ranked Southwest, 89 to 63.
Myra Moorjani finished with 22 points.
Both teams will next be in action on Saturday at Augustana.
