Trail Fitters to Collect Gently Used Winter Clothes for Damiano Center
DULUTH, Minn. — A local outdoors store is hoping to share the love of dressing warm to those in need of winter clothing.
Trail Fitters, inside of Fitger’s Mall, is partnering up with the Damiano Center to gather winter gear.
The Damiano Center is in need for winter boots, snow pants, hats, and coats.
Trail Fitters is hoping to fill their donation bin up high like in years past.
Sam Brueggeman, the store manager of Trail Fitters, says when it comes to asking support from the Duluth community, the community doesn’t disappoint.
“The local community is fantastic in making sure that they’re paying attention to the rest of the folks in the community, even the ones who are maybe a bit less fortunate,” said Brueggeman. “We have seen strong support in years past when we’ve done this, and we’ve already seen some great support already this years. So it’s really cool to see that connection and kind of camaraderie that we have with everybody in this town.”
Anyone who donates winter clothing at Trail Fitters will also receive 10% any purchases in their store.
Trail Fitters will be collecting donations through Feb. 16.
