DULUTH, Minn.- The UMD men’s basketball team picked up their 17th win of the season in style on Tuesday against Minnesota State-Mankato.

Trailing 74 to 73 with a few seconds left, Mattie Thompson skied up for the dunk to give UMD the 75 to 74 lead with just 0.2 seconds on the clock.

The Mavericks were then forced to throw one up but the potential game-winning shot was offline.
