UMD Men’s Hockey to Battle #10 Arizona State for 2nd Time in 2024-2025 Season
All-time the Bulldogs and Sun Devils are deadlocked with each team earning two victories.
DULUTH, Minn.- This upcoming Friday, the UMD men’s hockey team will welcome in 10th ranked Arizona State, who swept UMD in a series back in December.
It was a weekend to forget for the Bulldogs as they dropped both games to Nebraska-Omaha.
Coming out of that series, head coach Scott Sandelin says it’s important that there’s more consistency on both sides of the puck.
“In general, we need to play good defense. We’ve talked about it all year. Right, we need to score enough goals to win hockey games but we need all that stuff to start coming together. We can’t have one thing off and one thing on. You can’t sacrifice defense for offense. You have to have a balance,” said Sandelin.
“Make sure we’re playing fast. They play fast up and down the ice but a lot of the times they get caught. So if we can attack quick off of their mistakes as well. We should be able take advantage of some of their problems,” added forward Zam Plante.
