Van Wieren & Henderson Claim WCHA Conference Honors, Bulldogs Stay at #6 in Poll

UMD, who stayed at #6 in the USCHO poll, will play at Minnesota this upcoming weekend.

DULUTH, Minn.- A pair of UMD women’s hockey standouts earned conference honors for their efforts this past weekend against Minnesota State-Mankato.

Clara Van Wieren is the WCHA Forward of the Week and Tova Henderson is the WCHA Defender of the Week.

For Van Wieren, she recorded five points, which included a hat trick in Friday’s game.

As for Henderson, she had three assists and three blocks on the weekend.

UMD, who stayed at #6 in the USCHO poll, will play at Minnesota this upcoming weekend.
