Boutique Hotel and Event Center Development Approved in Two Harbors

TWO HARBORS, Minn.– A lodging and event center will be making its way to Two Harbors.

And from the sounds of it, it could be a game changer for the area.

The proposed development project will introduce a boutique hotel and event center, adjacent to Castle Danger Brewing.

Right now the project is in early stages of planning. But the event center is planning on featuring 118 hotel rooms.

It will also include a great view of Lake Superior.

The Mayor of Two Harbors said, this will significantly boost the economy.

“It does bring in jobs to start with. But also, we feel like we have nowhere in town right now if anybody wanted to do a reception, for a wedding reception for 2-3 hundred individuals. We don’t have anywhere where we can do that, or to do a conference,” said Mayor Lew Connor of Two Harbors.

Since the agreement was recently signed, details such as cost is still up in the air.

The city is hoping to begin construction for the event center this time next year.
