Section 7AA Hockey: Rock Ridge Secures Spot in Section Title Game, Grand Rapids Falls to Andover in Thriller

The section 7AA boys semifinal rounds took place on Saturday night at Amsoil Arena. 

DULUTH, Minn.- The section 7AA boys semifinal rounds took place on Saturday night at Amsoil Arena. 

In the first game of the semifinal round, the top-seeded Rock Ridge faced Duluth Marshall. 

The Wolverines defeated the Hilltoppers 5 to 3 to secure their spot in the section 7AA title game. 

On the other side of the bracket, Grand Rapids faced Andover in a rematch of last year’s section title game. 

The Thunderhawks and the Huskies went back and forth all game. 

Unfortunately, The Huskies scored a late goal in the third, defeating the Thunderhawks 4 to 3. 

Rock Ridge and Andover will face off on Thursday, February 27th, in the section 7AA title game.
