A Cool Start to March

Hello March! We’ve survived January and February, and really, they weren’t so bad. Although, February did bring us 19 consecutive days with WAY below average high temperatures. What bugs me even more, is that we are still 26″ below where we should be for snowfall for the season. While we can still get snow in March and April (and yes, sometimes May), it’s going to be tough to make up a 2-foot snow deficit.

We will begin March cooler than normal. The average high temp for March 1st is 30, and we will top out at about 22 degrees. But, Sunday sees us rebound to 36, and get ready for 46 degrees on Monday. It is typical to get a snowstorm around the time of the Minnesota Boys High School State Hockey Tournament. That takes place next week, and sure enough, we have a decent chance for wind and rain on Tuesday, and wind and snow on Wednesday. It’s too soon to say how much snow on Wednesday, but I’ve seen models that are kind of impressive, from my point of view. Keep in mind, I LIKE SNOW!

So, the days are getting longer, the sun is higher in the sky every day, and spring training baseball games are on the radio. It’s all good! Have a great weekend!
