Two Unanswered Goals Late Lift #6 UMD Women’s Hockey to Game One Victory in WCHA Playoffs

UMD is back in action of Saturday, March 1st, for game two of their series with St. Cloud State. 

DULUTH, Minn.- The UMD women’s hockey team earned the fourth seed in the WCHA playoff tournament and hosted the 5th seed St. Cloud State University in the first round on Friday.

The Huskies led majority of the contest as the Bulldogs were down 2 to 1 late in the third period.

In the final minutes of the 3rd, UMD scored two unanswered goals to take down the Huskies, 3 to 2.

Leading the way for the Bulldogs was Caitlin Kraemer, who recorded two goals in the contest and Olivia Wallin who scored the game-winning goal.

UMD is back in action on Saturday, March 1st, for game two of their series with St. Cloud State.

Puck drop is at 1 p.m.
