UWS Women’s Basketball Defends Home Court to Claim UMAC Title

The Jackets have earned an automatic bid for the NCAA tournament. 

SUPERIOR, Wis.- The UW-Superior women’s basketball team hosted Northwestern on Saturday in the UMAC Championship game.

The Yellowjackets defended home court, defeating the Eagles 53 to 47 to earn their first UMAC championship title since 2018.

Leading the way for UWS was Elise Besonen who recorded 28 points in the contest.

The Jackets have earned an automatic bid for the NCAA tournament.
