CHUM kicks off March Drive
DULUTH, Minn. — Chum is kicking off their annual March Drive.
They are hoping to get as much food, money, and other donations as possible this month to support their food shelf.
The goal is to raise $80,000 and 40,000 pounds of food.
Every donation will go towards meeting the growing need for food assistance in the community.
“I think the most heartbreaking thing is when we’re open and we go through all of our boxes and our shelter bags, we have to close the door and lock the door. And if we could give a little bit more wiggle room, you know, if we had more on our shelves, we could do more for them.” said April LeDoux, the Director of Distributive Services at the CHUM Food Shelf.
There’s a few ways to donate this month in addition to the dropping off donations or donating online.
Whole Foods Co-op is doing a round-up donation option on purchases made there.
CHUM is also holding a meat raffle at Birds Bar on March 26th.
