UW-Superior Adding Varsity Women’s Lacrosse, Two Club Teams

Women's lacrosse will begin play in the spring of 2027.

SUPERIOR, Wis.- A couple of new sports teams are coming to UW-Superior.

The most notable one being women’s lacrosse, which will begin play in the spring of 2027.

With the addition of women’s lacrosse, it will bring the varsity sport total to 20 at the college.

The school also announced that they will add men’s soccer and men’s hockey club teams.

Hockey will compete in the ACHA while the soccer team will face other regional club teams.

Those two new squads will begin play a year earlier in the 2025-2026 school year.
