Prep Boys Basketball: Cherry, Cromwell-Wright, Deer River, & M-I-B Advance to The Section 7A Semifinals

The section 7A semifinal rounds are set for Thursday, March 13th at Romano Gymnasium.

ESKO, Minn.- In prep boys basketball, the section 7A quarterfinal rounds tipped off at Esko High School on Saturday.

The top-seeded Cherry Tigers took on North Woods with a trip to the Semifinal round on the line.

The Tigers dominated in their quarterfinal matchup as they defeated the Grizzlies 104 to 40.

North Woods finished the year 14-14.

Following that game, Cromwell-Wright faced off against Littlefork-Big Falls.

The Cardinals take down the Vikings 90 to 67.

Littlefork-Big Falls ends the year 22-6

The Tigers and the Cardinals are set to face off in the section 7A semifinal round on Thursday, March 13th.

Tip-off is at 5:30 p.m.

On the other side of the bracket, Deer River squared off against South Ridge.

The Warriors and the Panthers went back and forth all game, but in the end, the Warriors defeated the Panthers 86 to 67 to advance to the semifinals.

South Ridge wrapped up their season with an 18-10 record.

In the final quarterfinal matchup, Mountain Iron-Buhl faced Ely.

The Rangers punched their ticket to the semifinal round as they defeated the Timberwolves 67 to 37.

Ely ends their season 17-11.

Mountain Iron-Buhl and Deer River will face off in the section semifinal round on Thursday, March 13th.

Tip-off is at 7 p.m.
