K9 Helps Locate, Arrest Hibbing Stabbing Suspects
HIBBING, Minn. — A stabbing investigation is underway in Hibbing, and two suspects are in custody.
The stabbing happened around 1:50 p.m. Friday in the 3700 block of 1st Avenue.
The victim is a male.
Descriptions of the suspects and their vehicle were provided to dispatch before the vehicle was located by St. Louis County deputies.
Police said the vehicle then took off.
Spike strips were deployed on Highway 37 near Highway 7, which ended the vehicle pursuit on Townline Road.
The suspects took off on foot, though, before an Eveleth K9 unite tracked them down and the arrests were made, according to police.
The two males are being held in the Hibbing Jail on preliminary charges of robbery, assault and fleeing in a vehicle.
The victim was treated an released from a hospital.
