Max Plante Named to NCHC All-Rookie Team, Ending Five-Year Drought for Bulldogs

Defenseman Wyatt Kaiser was the last Bulldog to be named the team in the 2020-2021 season.

DULUTH, Minn.- The UMD men’s hockey team had a player land on the NCHC All-Rookie team for the first time in five seasons.

Hermantown native Max Plante earned the honor after he led all NCHC rookies with 21 points in conference play.

Plante, who only played in 20 conference games, had seven goals and 14 assists.

Defenseman Wyatt Kaiser was the last Bulldog to be named the team in the 2020-2021 season.
