1 Dead, 4 Injured in Rural Walker Rollover Crash
WALKER, Minn. — One person is dead, four other injured, after a roll over crash in rural Walker, MN, Sunday night.
According to the press release, Cass County Sheriff responded to a 911 call about a crash on County Road 13 near Stony Point Camp Rd, in Turtle Lake Township.
While arriving on scene, deputies found a 2007 Dodge Nitro had left the roadway, rolling over in a ditch. Five people were inside.
Two adult males were transported to Bemidji Sanford, one male was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Park Rapids, another male was treated and released on scene. One adult female, age 22 of Bemidji, was pronounced deceased on scene.
A search warrant was executed for a blood sample from the driver, a male age 23 of Walker, MN, of the Dodge Nitro. Alcohol and speed appear to be a factor in the crash. Criminal charges are pending upon the blood sample analysis.
The crash remains under investigation. Walker Police Department, Minnesota State Patrol, Walker Fire Department, and North Memorial Ambulance all assisted with the scene and the investigation.
