UMD Men’s Hockey Looks to Future After 2024-2025 Season Wraps Up
The Bulldogs will look to replace six seniors, including captain Dominic James.
DULUTH, Minn.- The UMD men’s hockey team showed promise with spurts throughout the season.
That included wins against ranked opponents such as Arizona State and Denver.
But the team eventually settled for a 13-20-3 record with a first round NCHC loss to the Sun Devils this past weekend.
The Bulldogs boasted some young talent this year with Max Plante, Jayson Shaugabay, and Zam Plante each making a name for themselves.
Head Coach Scott Sandelin detailed the ups and downs of the 2024-2025 season.
“I thought there was a lot of growth. Unfortunately, there wasn’t as many wins as we’d want. Certainly there was some inconsistencies. I think you saw at the end our guys played really well, well enough to be probably playing on Sunday forsure. Whether we get by that game. But, lot to be excited with certainly the young core,” said Sandelin.
