20th Annual State of Cities Luncheon
PROCTOR, Minn. — Over 100 people attended the 20th Annual State of Cities luncheon, hosted by the Hermantown Area Chamber of Commerce.
Business leaders got the chance to hear from the mayors Proctor, Hermantown, and Rice Lake. In total, they represent 18 thousand residents.
There were discussions surrounding what’s new, exciting, and what’s in store for the season’s legislative session. In addition, they were able to share successes the year brought.
Alongside that, the mayors were able to bring up some current projects that are in progress.
“There is a lot going on. You know, we’ve increased our sales, our retail sales over the last four years have increased almost 8 and a half percent a year,” said Mayor Wayne Boucher from the City of Hermantown. “So, that’s good news. There’s housing being looked at and planned. We just approved a 35 unit apartment building on a preliminary planned unit development.”
This networking opportunities supports the mission of the Hermantown Area Chamber of Commerce. It’s to be the voice of businesses by connecting, engaging, and supporting their members’ community.
