Kenwood Goodwill Celebrates Grand-Reopening and Expansion

DULUTH, Minn.– After closing down earlier this year for renovations, the Kenwood Goodwill store held its grand re-opening today.

Customers today wasted no time to check out the new and improved Goodwill store.

With the remodel, the store expanded two-thousand square feet and added a new drive-up window for donations.

The Goodwill also received a paint job, and a brand-new downstairs area with updated bathrooms and dressing rooms.

The bigger space made room for furniture, and household decor.

The outpouring of support from the community is something that one representative takes pride in.

“We heard that there was going to be a big turn out today just from social media advertising, so seeing the line today, just seeing the support. It’s amazing to me. I love our community. Goodwill is a local organizer, right? We’re all unique in our territories, right? So, it’s just a really nice to see the turn out today,” said Scott Vezina, Director of Community Engagement for ‘Truth North Goodwill’.

Another Goodwill store in Duluth is also experiencing some changes.

The location on Miller Trunk Highway is moving to Lindgreen Road in Hermantown, and they’ll be open starting March 31st.
