Woodland Condos Proposal Approved by Planning Commission

DULUTH, Minn. — On Thursday’s meeting, the Duluth’s Planning Commission board approved plans to move forward with the Woodland rezoning project, that have sparked controversary with neighboring residents.

The rezoning project looks to build luxury condos in the Woodland neighborhood. There, Titanium Partners planned to build two units across the street from the Hartley Nature Center. Each building will house 30 condos ranging between $400,000-$600,000.

Neighbor nearby the rezoning project have put up flyers in opposition of the condos, and some expressed strong recommendations against the project at last night’s meeting.

However, the Planning Commission board approved to move forward with the project.

A spokesperson from the City of Duluth said that it’s likely to head before the Duluth City Council at their April 14 meeting.

The Duluth City Council has the power to withdrawal approval of the Woodland rezoning project.
