Duluth Residents Share Concerns at a Town Hall Hosted by Practicing Democracy

DULUTH, Minn. –Hundreds of Duluthians gathered at Duluth East High School on Saturday, sharing their concerns at a town hall.

Practicing Democracy, a local political action committee hosted the town hall which saw residents engaging in the discussion surrounding local, state and federal issues.

Former Minnesota State Representative Jen Schultz is a co-leader of the effort and spoke at the town hall. Other local leaders spoke on important issues, such as education cuts and federal funding.

Residents also shared how policies impact them and their surrounding community.

Current Minnesota State Representative Pete Stauber was invited to the event but did not attend, which many citizens voiced their concerns about.

Practicing Democracy aims to host similar town halls in other cities across the northland.
