UMD Defenseman Owen Gallatin Joins Fort Wayne Komets of ECHL

In Gallatin's final year as a Bulldog, he had four goals and 11 assists.

DULUTH, Minn.- UMD defenseman Owen Gallatin is making the jump to the pros.

Gallatin and the Fort Wayne Komets agreed to an amateur try-out this past week.

The Komets are the ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers.

In Gallatin’s final year as a Bulldog, he had four goals and 11 assists.

He’s already skated in two games for the Komets but has yet to register a point.
