Tara Swenson Announced Reelection for Duluth City Council District 4 Seat

DULUTH, Minn. — Tara Swenson announced bid for re-election for the Duluth City Council District 4 Seat back in March.

Swenson tells FOX 21 that she would focus on ensuring residents and visitors feels safe, by supporting first responders.

Continuing to invest in infrastructure is another goal, citing her work with turning West Skyline near Enger Park into a one way street.

“Similar to last time. Still continuing to support families and kids in our community,” said Swenson. “That’s why I ran in the first point, was to support our kids. So I have a 7 and a 5 year old, and making sure they’re growing up in a community where they feel safe, and they have housing and jobs to continue to support them. So, really the platform is core city services, right? So infrastructure, fixing our streets, our roads, lead line replacements, continuing to support those projects.”

August 12 is the Minnesota primary election with the general election taking place on November 4.
