Aiden Williams Vying to Become First Bulldog Drafted Since 1990

The tackle now turned guard has spent the last couple months training in both Florida and Minnesota.

DULUTH, Minn.- In just 13 days from now, 257 players will hear their name called at the NFL Draft in Green Bay.

UMD offensive lineman Aiden Williams is hoping he will be one of those who’s picked.

The tackle now turned guard has spent the last couple months training in both Florida and Minnesota.

Recently, he took part at the University of Minnesota Pro Day with a number of scouts on hand.

Williams said at that session and at the Shrine Bowl, he received lots of positive feedback but is prepared for all options happening.

“I’m kind of like on the fringe of drafted/undrafted is what I understand. There was I would say a handful of teams pretty interested. I’m not going to name them just for reasons. But, there are a few. I think everyone at the Shrine Bowl, because I met with all 32 scouts. They were all kind of impressed on my story, kind of where I came from. So I think I made a good impression there as well,” said Williams.

Williams is vying to become the first Bulldog drafted since Brent Griffith was picked by the Bills in the 1990 draft.
