Waterstop Infoshop Opens Doors to Local Artists and Makers
DULUTH, Minn. — A new community space is looking to be a blank canvas for anyone’s creative needs.
The Waterstop Infoshop opened it’s doors back in February. Since then the small space has been used for showcase movies, be a place to practice instruments, or a quite place to paint.
The founder of the infoshop says the creative space can also be a place to try out new things with zero expectations.
“It’s a little bit of a blank canvas, so a lot of different stuff can happen here,” said Tomlin Swan, founder of the Waterstop Infoshop. “I think for some people, it’s the financial barrier. You know, space costs a lot of money. Art classes can take cost a lot of money. So for some it’s the financial barrier. For some people, it might be the location. This is pretty accessible, central location, positioned right off the bus line.”
The Waterstop Infoshop is opened daily and the owners says one of her future goals is to be open 24/7.
