UW-Superior Holds Annual Day of Giving!

SUPERIOR, Wis. — It’s the 11th annual Day of Giving at UW-Superior!

This is a fundraiser that supports undergraduate research, scholarships, and academic programs.

Every donation made today will be matched up to $10,000.

Those donating can designate where their money goes, from the new floating classroom, programs like theatre or sports, or specific scholarships.

Otherwise, they money can be designated to the general Superior Fund and be allocated to any program.

“One of the things that we like to do is make sure that the students know that we are here to support them. It is a day for the entire community, alumni, donors, faculty and staff, to actually show up for our students too. So, we have more than like last year, we had nearly 360 donors contribute to just show how much they support all of our yellow jackets, the entire community.” said Shannon Hoffman, Annual Giving Manager.

Last year they raised over $232,000.

This year, one of the goals is to get 400 donors.

The day of giving doesn’t end until midnight.
