Riverdance Returning To Duluth With Rejuvenated 30th Anniversary Tour
Lead male performer Will Bryant talked to FOX 21's Dan Hanger ahead of the big show at the DECC.
DULUTH, Minn. — Riverdance has launched a brand new North American tour that celebrates 30 years of the international Irish dance phenomenon, and they’re making a stop in Duluth in May.
Riverdance 30 – The New Generation rejuvenates the original show with new costumes, lighting and choreography.
The new generation of performers, who are part of the 40-city tour, weren’t even born yet when the show started 30 years ago.
One of those performers is Will Bryant, who is one of the male leads on the tour. He’s been with the company since 2014 and has gotten to travel the world along the way.
“It’s electrifying. You know, almost every time it’s the end of the show, they’re on their feet, they’re dancing, and it’s just, you know, it’s amazing to watch,” said Will Bryant, one of three lead male performers on the North American tour.
Bryant said the experience of Riverdance is truly one-of-a-kind for all ages.
“We have dances from all over the world. We have flamenco dancers. We have, as I said, American tappers, Dovbush dancers. That cultural diversity, you know, and the fact that we’re all coming together as one and creating something really beautiful. I think that’s something that everyone should experience once in their life, you know. I really suggested if you haven’t got your tickets, get them,” Bryant said with a smile.
