Tuesday Morning Northland Forecast: 4/29/2025

Calmer and Easier Weather

While there was some rough weather in the southern parts of Minnesota and Wisconsin yesterday, here in the Northland, we pretty much missed out on that. We all got some decent amounts of rain, along with a little lightning and thunder. But, for the most part, we could be satisfied with garden variety thunderstorms at worst. And, I will always be pleased with a rainy day, as we continue to try and avoid drought conditions. All told, it was a pretty good day.

We got an additional light shower overnight, along with some gusty northwest winds. Now, as the low pulls off to the east and high pressure moves in from the west, we look forward to increasing sunshine as today goes on. And, the strong NW winds will die down significantly after lunchtime today. The average high for today is 57 degrees. We won’t quite hit that, as we will have to settle for a high about 50. But, with sunny skies moving in, I think today will be welcomed by most people.

Wednesday will be very similar to today, and a bit warmer. By Thursday, the next cold front slides in from the northwest. That will offer about a 60% chance for showers. Look for a quarter to a half inch of rain out of that situation. Then, we start 4 straight days of Fun in the Sun, taking us through the weekend, and right into next Monday. High temps will top out in the mid 60s this weekend, and we will shoot for a high of 72 on Monday. That will be worth the wait!

So, enjoy today’s sunshine and 50 for a high, and remember that better things are on the way!
