PhoHolic Family Ready To Expand Vietnamese Flavor In Duluth

The second location will be in the now-former China Cafe building on London Road.

DULUTH, Minn. — The family of a Vietnamese restaurant in Duluth is more than excited to expand into a second location this summer.

PhoHolic on Central Entrance opened before the pandemic. And now, a second operation will move into the now-former China Café building on the 1600 block of London Road.

“We’re super excited. Since day one, a lot of people have been asking us, like, yeah, you guys need more parking. You guys need more dining. You guys need more space. So, it’s finally happening. We’re getting a second spot. So super excited, just to share that with everyone,” said Alijah Nguyen, PhoHolic manager.

Beyond the physical expansion, customers will enjoy an expanded menu with more entrees, desserts and drink.

Nguyen said the experience of sharing his Vietnamese culture with the community is a great feeling.

“It’s really neat because these are foods that I grew up eating, and foods my all my family loves. So, the fact that we can bring this to the community and share it with other people and receive such positive feedback is honestly the best feeling,” Nguyen said.

PhoHolic expects to open the London Road location in July after a head-to-toe remodel of the building.
