Wednesday Morning Northland Forecast: 4/30/2025
Windy and Warmer
While it was sunny yesterday, it also felt breezy and raw, with a cold north wind most of the day. The average high is 56 degrees, and we only climbed to 49 for a high temp. But it felt much cooler, with persistent, chilly north winds up to 25mph. Inside your car, with the sunshine beaming in, it practically felt hot. But, once outside, you wanted to grab the jacket you brought along with you!
Today will be an improvement. We will have the same abundant amount of sunshine, but it will be aided by warm winds from the south, not the cold winds from the north. We look to hit about 62 degrees for a high today, and the winds will be strong, out of the south 10-25mph. High pressure will bring us that sunshine today, and a warm front to our west will bring the warm air in from our southwest. Yesterday only looked warm. Today will actually feel warm, too.
Trailing behind that warm front, is a low pressure system and cold front that will bring us an 80% chance for rain on Thursday. Nothing severe, and nothing scary. Most of us will see between a quarter to a half inch of rain on Thursday. Mainly in the second half of the day. With a high of 58, it won’t be that much cooler than today. The cool air behind the rain will arrive on Friday, as we will have sunshine return, and wind too, and a cooler high of 52.
Then, the period of great weather we’ve all been waiting for will arrive, just in time for the weekend! From Saturday through Tuesday, we will have mostly sunny skies, with high temps from the mid 60s to the low 70s. Now we’re talking! One rainy Thursday, followed by 4 days of sunshine and warmth. That’s a deal I’m taking!
