Thursday Morning Northland Forecast: 5/1/2025
May Showers
April was a little cooler than normal, and a little wetter than normal. Now, we turn the page into May. The average high for today is 57 degrees. We will be right about there, with a high of between 55 and 60. We also have an increasing chance for showers later today, tonight, and tomorrow morning. So, May is starting out just fine. We last had rain on Monday, three days ago. If we can get some moisture every 2-3 days during the summer, that’s just about perfect. The rain showers we are expecting in the next 24 hours will be light to moderate, with about a quarter inch to a half inch of precipitation. Nothing severe, nothing scary. Just some rain for our lawns and gardens.
There are three areas of low pressure right around us. It will take some time for them to all move to the east, so clouds and light rain will be in our area for the next 24 to 36 hours. By late on Friday, skies will be clearing, setting us up for a perfect weekend. Beginning Saturday, we are looking for 4-5 days in a row of mostly sunny skies, and high temps in the mid-60s to around 70 degrees by Monday. You will love the weather beginning on Saturday. It will perfect for getting outside, and working on the lawn, going biking, or just enjoying the Lakewalk. Be outside, and soak up that vitamin D!
Appreciate the rain that’s on the way, and then welcome the high pressure that will arrive right on time for the weekend!
