Black Bear Casino Celebrates Event Center Expansion

CARLTON, Minn.– Black Bear Casino and Resort in Carlton near the Fond du Lac Reservation is celebrating the completion of a three-year long project.

The 21-million-dollar expansion is finally complete after a year filled with construction.

The new event center space is introducing 8 new rooms that can be used for conferences, banquets, or breakout sessions.

And with the 20,000 square foot expansion, they’re excited for some new possibilities this project will bring.

“We have a decent sized hall down here, so we’ll definitely host more weddings. Like I said, it would free up the event center a little more. So hopefully we get up more conferences and concerts. We have about twelve concerts per year, and my hopes is to bring that number up quite a bit,” said Richard Diver, Convention Entertainment Manager, Black Bear Casino.

With the ribbon cutting ceremony happening today, staff was eager to announce that the new event center space is now available to rent out.
