Participants Needed for Upcoming Memorial Day Parade
DULUTH, Minn.– With the weather starting to feel like summer, soon enough parade season will be in full swing.
And the Memorial Day parade will be here before you know it.
In just two short weeks, the Memorial Day Parade will be happening in downtown West Duluth.
The event not only helps get the community together, but it also highlights the importance of veterans.
Right now, the committee is saying they’re short on parade floats.
Sign up is available now until May 23rd.
There are a few things that one of the officials is hoping will join the line up.
“Well, we don’t have a dance group. I’d love to have some dance groups. And well, high school bands, it’s too late for them to prepare. But music of some sort. You know I don’t care what kind of musical group. A parade needs music,” explained Sharon Bergquist, Memorial Day Parade Chair.
For those who are interested in participating, parade officials are requesting you deck out your cars or floats in red, white and blue to help celebrate!
