UMD Softball’s Nicole Schmitt Earns NFCA All-Region First Team Honors

Schmitt is the 16th Bulldog to be selected for NFCA All-Region honors in program history. 

DULUTH, Minn.- To the diamond, UMD senior Nicole Schmitt adds another honor to her collegiate resume.

Schmitt was named to the NFCA First Team All-Central Region this afternoon.

The second baseman set the single season home run record for UMD, with 18 total home runs in her senior season.

She also earned the NSIC Outstanding Senior of the Year for Softball award last week.

Schmitt is the 16th Bulldog to be selected for NFCA All-Region honors in program history.
