UMD Track and Field Wrapped Up Three-Day NSIC Conference Meet on Saturday

Minnesota State took home the conference championship for both the men's and the women's competition.

DULUTH, Minn.- The UMD track and field team hosted the final day of the NSIC outdoor track and field championship meet on Saturday.

Several Bulldogs aimed for conference titles on the last day of the meet.

In the men’s 4×100 meter relay.

UMD finished in third place with a time of 41.06 seconds. Earning six points for the Bulldogs.

Over in the women’s 1500 meter finals.

UMD’s Madeline Verkerke placed 5th with a time of 4:36.04 to earn four points for the Bulldogs.

In the men’s 110 meter hurdles, UMD junior Sam Blomberg took home a 4th place finish with a time of 14.41 seconds.

Finally, in the men’s 400 meter finals, UMD’s Brock Unger placed in the top three, earning a third place finish with a time of 47.69 seconds, which was a PR for the junior.

For the overall result of the NSIC conference meet, Minnesota State took home the conference championship for both the men’s and the women’s competition.
