UWS Catcher Ellie Macal Named UMAC Softball Player of the Year

Macal posted career-highs in runs, hits, doubles, home runs, RBI's and slugging percentage.

SUPERIOR, Wis.- The end of the year UMAC softball honors were announced on Tuesday.

UWS catcher Ellie Macal is the Player of the Year after posting career-highs in runs, hits, doubles, home runs, RBI’s and slugging percentage.

Her teammate Peyton Bennett is the conference Rookie of the Year.

Bennett had a batting average of .421 and a team-leading 28 stolen bases.

The duo also received spots on the UMAC first team.
