Crews are also assessing the viability of setting up structure protection near Fairbanks.

The fire has not grown.

It’s reported size has been reduced because of more accurate scanning by infrared reconnaissance flights.

The Camp House fire was reported to be 14,979 on Thursday, a reduction of 127-acres with the new reconnaissance.

The Jenkins Creek Fire has 63 people battling it.

Protection of the Skibo and Hoyt Lakes communities remains a priority objective for the crews battling that fire.

Dozers are extending and connecting already developed fire lines.
