Coffee Conversation: Runaway Sheep Brad Stars in Maria Vollom’s New Book
DULUTH, Minn. — He ran, he roamed, and now he’s in a kid’s book. The Great Sheep Escape: Brad’s Big Adventure follows Brad, the runaway sheep who captured hearts across the Northland.
Brad’s owner, Farmer Ryan Osvold, joined FOX 21 Morning News anchor and author Maria Vollom on Wednesday to share more about Brad’s unforgettable journey.
Written by Vollom and illustrated by Jim Mattson, the book tells the heartwarming — and hilarious — true story of Brad’s escape and the community that came together to bring him home.
To celebrate the release, a book launch party will be held on Friday, May 23, at Duluth’s Best Bread — a fitting location, since bread was Brad’s favorite treat and key to his rescue! The event will include signings by Vollom and Mattson, storytime, and photo opportunities.
