Duluth Police Responds to Stabbing in Downtown

The suspect is currently lodged at St. Louis County Jail for pending charges of 2nd degree assault, misdemeanor criminal damage to property, and fleeting a police officer.

Fox21 does not normally name suspects until they are formally charged in court.

DULUTH, Minn. — A victim is being treated for non-life threatening injuries after being stabbed in Duluth’s downtown.

This happened near the intersection of Lake Ave. and Superior St.

Duluth Police Department responded to a report of a stabbed individual around 12:20 p.m. on Thursday afternoon.

The male victim was transport to a local hospital by Mayo Ambulance. The suspect has been taken into custody.

The victim and suspect are known to each other.

This remains an active and ongoing investigation.
